Hello, my name is Matt Harvey, and I'm privileged to serve as the Lead Pastor of LifeSpring Church. I grew up in Monroe County where I met my wonderful wife, Emma, while we were in High School together. After graduating from Concord University in 2016, my journey in ministry began with a pastoral residency in 2018 where I began preaching at Ronceverte Baptist.
Over the years, my love for theology deepened, leading me to continued self-study and growth. In 2021, Emma and I relocated to Beckley, and we dedicated over two years to serving alongside a new church plant, Redemption Church, where I had the privilege of being discipled in another pastoral residency; focusing on the ministry of shepherding. Starting in January 2023, I was blessed to preach regularly as Pulpit Supply for the Mountain State Baptist Association. I'm deeply moved by the words of Paul, when he said in his letter to the Corinthian church, "Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love." I bring this dedication and a passion for spiritual growth and community to LifeSpring Church, where I'm committed to leading with love, devotion, and the unwavering pursuit to become more like Christ.
